Alhambra High School seniors were recognized for their achievements and involvement during Senior Awards Night on May 13 in the AHS auditorium. The event celebrated members of the Class of 2026 for accomplishments in academics, leadership, extracurricular activities and service throughout their high school careers. Students received awards and honor cords representing participation in programs, clubs and organizations across campus. Recognition spanned a wide range of areas, from academics and career pathways to athletics and student leadership, highlighting the many talents and accomplishments of Alhambra seniors.
Several seniors earned Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA) stoles, recognizing participation and achievement within the program. Recipients included Christian Aguilar, Jane Chen, Jennifer Chen, Paige Calderon, Paola Cen Chen, Shirley Chen, Sidney Chan, Cody Duan, Jason Ho, Joey Huang, Linh Huynh, Ngan Huynh, Eva Li, Isabelle Li, Kyren Lam and Mina Leung, among others.
Speech and Debate and dance coach Tong also recognized seniors Collin Lei, Suki Li, Emilie Taniguchi, Brendon Wu and Brizia Eb with Academic All-American honors. Taniguchi additionally received recognition for earning the highest point total within the National Speech and Debate Association.
Associated Student Body members were also honored for leadership and service contributions. Recognized seniors included Jennifer Phung, Van Lee, Helen Chung, Aedria Endoma, Sonia Hinojosa, Amy Wong, And Luu, Ella Chan, Apollo Almelor, Mindy Lin, Jennifer Chen, Hanh Quan, Sophie Nguyen and Tomas Neang.
Additional honors highlighted service and academic achievement throughout the senior class. Seniors Michaela Aston and Nicole Del Villar received recognition through the Alhambra Council PTA, while Brendon Wu, Keiko Rakin and Allison Liu were recognized through the Alhambra High School PTA.
Senior Emmett Lee earned distinction as the PTA Reflections state champion. Guadalupe Santacruz Sosa received the Most Improved Student Award, recognizing significant academic and personal growth during high school.
Students in the Bio-Med program also received Green Honor Cords. Recipients included Eva Li, Joyce Li, Suki Li, Julia Liang, Rien Liao, Tommy Lou, Alex Wu, Brendon Wu and Rayna Xu.
Senior Awards Night recognized the accomplishments of Alhambra students while celebrating the hard work, leadership and dedication that shaped their high school experiences. As seniors prepare for graduation, the event serves as an opportunity to reflect on achievements and recognize the impact students have made throughout their time at AHS.
