On April 17, the Moors varsity baseball team delivered a dominant performance against San Gabriel, earning a 13-0 victory. WIth this win, the team improves to an impressive 13-9 overall record and an outstanding 10-1 mark in league play, solidifying their place among the league’s top contenders. The game featured several standout individual performances that helped the Moors to a victory. Enicio Torres led the offense with a flawless performance, going 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base and a double. His consistency set the tone early and kept the momentum on Alhambra’s side. Steven Escobar also made a major impact, going 1-for-2 with three RBIs, one triple and one run. Contributions like these showcased the team’s ability to execute in crucial moments. Currently sitting in second place in league standings, the Moors have officially secured their spot in the CIF playoffs. With postseason play on the horizon, the team looks assured to carry the momentum forward and continue building on their already strong season.
