Alhambra High School offers a variety of clubs that allow students to explore interests, build skills and connect with their peers. Campus organizations range from service clubs such as Key Club to interest-based groups like Cancer Awareness Club. Among them, several clubs also provide students opportunities to compete and earn recognition through regional, state and national competitions. Competition clubs at AHS include programs such as Speech and Debate, Academic Decathlon, MESA and Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA). These organizations allow students to develop skills while participating in events that can lead to awards and advancement to state or national levels. Students can also gain valuable experience beyond competition. Speech and Debate helps students strengthen public speaking and communication skills while building confidence. Academic Decathlon encourages learning across multiple subjects and develops critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Other competition clubs provide opportunities to build leadership, teamwork and career-related skills. Competition clubs continue to play an important role on campus by helping students pursue their interests, challenge themselves and prepare for future academic and professional opportunities.
