The Alhambra High School varsity girls water polo team finished its season with major accomplishments, including earning a spot in the CIF Southern Section playoffs and securing second place in league standings. The team faced early challenges during competition, such as on Jan. 7, where Alhambra fell to Schurr High School 13-2. However, the Moors responded with strong performances later in the season. On Jan. 15, Alhambra earned a 14-4 victory over Montebello High School at Granada Park. The momentum continued on Jan. 27 when the Moors defeated Mark Keppel High School 17-1, a win that helped secure the team’s CIF Southern Section playoff appearance. Alhambra’s season concluded Feb. 5 with a 15-10 loss to West Valley High School during the 2026 CIF Southern Section Ford Girls Water Polo Championships Division 5 tournament. Despite the postseason loss, the Moors finished second in league standings and demonstrated growth throughout the season. Spring athletics also recognized senior athletes during Boys and Girls Swim Senior Night on April 7 at Granada Park. Alhambra competed against Mark Keppel High School as teammates, family members and supporters gathered to celebrate seniors competing in their final meet of the season. The accomplishments of Alhambra’s girls water polo and swim programs highlight the dedication and effort student-athletes bring to campus athletics.
