It’s Time for Homecoming, Oh My!

If you are ready for some school spirit, say goodbye to the yellow brick road and hello to Alhambra High School’s Homecoming! This year’s magical theme is “There’s No Place Like Homecoming.” Join in on the fun by participating in the Wizard of Oz-themed spirit week from Oct. 19 to Oct. 23. Speaking of spirit, you can show your Moor spirit from 4 to 4:30 p.m. by cheering on Alhambra High during the homecoming parade, which extends from Fourth Street to Moor Field. Once you’ve arrived at Moor Field, go to the Homecoming carnival to eat and enjoy yourself. In addition, behold as your Homecoming Court is announced during the halftime show. Then watch as the Alhambra Moors face off against the Mark Keppel Aztecs in a vigorous football game. After the game, celebrate by going to the Homecoming dance. If you want to look stylish in the magical Land of Oz wear gold, silver and emerald at the dance. With all of these events, it is hard not to get whisked away to Homecoming!
