Juniors

For junior Bianca Zabala, there was much more to her summer than succumbing to the laziness that everyone is usually plagued with during vacation. Trips to Las Vegas, New Jersey and New York were on Zabala’s summer plans, along with the less-than-exciting burden of AP summer homework.

“[New York] was an adventure waiting to happen,” said Zabala. “There was a lot of walking, sightseeing, nice views and things you can only do in New York, like walking around Time Square at two in the morning and going shopping at four-story boutiques.”

Despite the four-hour traffic that caused Zabala to miss her flight back to Los Angeles, she says traveling “was a great experience.”

“I hope that this year I won’t be getting an early case of ‘senioritis,’ and that through the entire school year, I can keep myself focused on what needs to be done.”
