Do Share, Just Not in Depth

Do:

Have conversations with others. It is completely normal to have conversations on social media with your friends and families.

Post supportive, happy, funny or encouraging comments online. Sometimes people just need to get these kinds of motivation to cope with their problems.

Post funny, but tasteful, jokes. Make someone laugh and have a good day.

Post your current status. Let people who hold you dear know what you are doing.

Share anything that may be useful to others. Some important things we need to know are posted on social media, so if you read and learn something from a certain post, share it.

Don’t:

Post anything that you don’t want others to see. You choose what you post; don’t be influenced by others.

Post negatively, such as complaining about others or hate comments. This can cause people to be biased about others or simply mad.

Share personal information with others, such as your address, phone number, or credit card number. These kinds of information can cause you trouble if it gets into wrong hands.

Post jokes that seem threatening. Police will conduct an investigation on any comments that seem like a threat. Also be mindful of treating others the way you want to be treated.

Be overly descriptive on your status update. This can sometimes cause a problem, especially after you have done something important, such as withdrawing from a bank.

Post to gain attention. People will find your post less and less credible if you try to gain attention too much and they will eventually stop reading your post after a while.

Spam or post in all capital letters. Spamming can annoy other users and all CAPS makes it seem like you are yelling, which is not appreciated.
