Adopt a Campus: Improving Aesthetics

Lunch is often a chaotic time for AHS students. Between finding friends and grabbing lunch, there is very little time to finish sitting down, let alone cleaning up someone else’s mess. However, a new program is being instituted by administration to remedy this problem. Dubbed “Adopt a Campus,” the project has been created to improve the overall appearance and aesthetics of AHS.
Headed by Director of Campus Environment William He and Director of Clubs Andy Chan, Adopt a Campus is partnering with Inter-Club Council to request volunteers for the project.
“[Depending] on the [number] of clubs participating, we’ll divide up the campus into sections and distribute the work evenly,” said Chan.
The program was founded by Assistant Principal of Student Services Phuong Nguyen.
“[We] want to help [reduce] the workload of the custodians,” said Nguyen. “What I want to see is participation from more members of the student body.”
