Spotlight: Kathleen Juarez

1. What was your most memorable moment from playing softball?
My most memorable moment was when I made my first home run as a varsity player. It was the first time I hit the ball over the fence, and it made all the years of hard work worth it just to have that one moment.

2. What are your future goals?
I want to become a novelist, but I’m leaning towards pursuing a law degree.

3. Do you plan on pursuing softball in college?
I plan to play intermural or club softball in college, but I also want to spend my college years like a typical student.

4. What is one thing you wish the upperclassmen would have told you four years ago that you would reciprocate to the underclassmen now?
I wish someone had told me to focus and practice for the sake of doing well not just to finish the task. My advice to the underclassmen is to persevere. Pushing through difficult times will only make you better.
