Over the course of 118 years, Alhambra High School had many accomplishments throughout multiple generations of students, administrators and faculty.

The campus has improved and expanded greatly over the years. The school’s addition of the C and the D buildings in the mid-1990s, and the science building in 2010, which includes 10 science laboratories, increased the number of classrooms on campus. Besides the eight buildings on campus, Alhambra High School also has two gyms, a track field, and Moor field, where the sport teams play games. Student enrollment and the number of faculty members in the school increased by a hundred times. There were only 27 students and one teacher when the school first opened, but now we have around 2,800 students and 115 faculty members.

Alhambra High School has also received several awards. especially the last few years. In 2007, Alhambra High School was awarded a distinguished Great Schools Rating of 8 out of 10. In addition, Alhambra High School was awarded as one of “America’s Best High School” by US News and World Report, one of “America’s Top High Schools” by Newsweek and “Honor Roll” by The Campaign for Business & Educational Excellence last year.

Our school has come a long way since it was established. However, this does not mean we should stop here. We will continue on our path to strive for “Moor,” and we will surely accomplish more than before.
