The JV football team has finished its preseason and will continue on to its four remaining league games with a record of 5-1. The team did well in the preseason, taking down Western 18-0, Rowland 50-12, Temple City 14-6 and Wilson 40-0 but lost to South Pasadena 6-17. The Alhambra Moors faced the Peninsula Panthers after.

The two preseason highlight games were against Western and Wilson. The Moors commanded the games by not allowing their opponents to score even a single point. The opposing teams stood no chance against the well-prepared Moors.
The JV football team has been consistently practicing Monday to Friday. During the weekdays, the Moors JV football team heads out to the track field with the varsity team to practice and perfect plays.

“I feel we are going to go out every week, get better at practice, and be competitive,” Coach Mike Mackintosh said.
Bell Garden Lancers on Oct. 15, the Mark Keppel Aztecs on Oct. 22, the Schurr Spartans on Oct. 29 and the Montebello Oilers on Nov. 5. This week, the Moors played the Pennisula Panthers instead of San Gabriel Matadors and won 42-13.

“We got to play these league games with the same amount of intensity. We want to win these games”, cornerback and wide receiver Brian Lee said.

The JV football team will be facing off against the Mark Keppel Aztecs next Thurs., Oct. 22.
