The SAT is a test usually taken by juniors and seniors during the school year. Although it can be expensive, it is also beneficial for the test-taker in the future. The SAT is one of few tests colleges look at to determine a student’s academic abilities and what he or she have learned in school. Most important of all, this standardized test provide many opportunity for students such as getting into colleges and universities, and possibly scholarship.

SAT test scores are among one of the many factors that colleges look at when they are selecting their students. The SAT tests the knowledge a student has acquired. If a student’s score shows proficiency, then colleges and universities will consider them as a academically prepared prospect for college.

Taking the SAT can benefit you by providing more chances in obtaining a scholarship. It allows colleges and universities to compare students’ academic abilities. The students with test scores that show a higher ability will have an increased chance of getting a scholarship for college. Therefore, if the student is eligible, all he or she has to do is to apply for it.
