Contemplate Before You React

A reaction video is a recording of a person’s first reaction to viewing or experiencing an event, usually in the form of a video of someone watching a video. While that might sound redundant, they are highly popular on Youtube. Reaction videos show the first impressions of others, but if someone has not seen what the people in the video are seeing, then their own reactions become skewed.

The constant flow of information in today’s world leaves little time for thinking. It is easy to be caught up in what other people are saying both on the Internet and in person. People who never get to have their own ideas just end up parroting what others say.

The joy of watching a reaction video is that it reminds people of the first time that they saw or experienced something. However, that aspect is gone if the person never went through the experience themselves. Instead of looking up a video to see what others think, people should personally try for themselves first. It is important to formulate individual opinions rather than repeat those of others and to learn how to make an informed conclusion afterwards.
