Love! What does it really mean to teenage girls? Girls often wait for their Prince Charming to rescue them from the dark tower that is better known as reality. Many young ladies share the concept of marrying a Superman figure. However, how does platonic love differ from romantic love? According to some ladies, platonic love engages the heart while romantic love grasps every outer limit of your heart. Defining love has become a controversial issue since love is unexplainable and differs from person to person.

In spite of that, girls have gradually created their own definition of love. Some may describe love as not wanting to be without the other person for a long time. Dr. Seuss once said that “you know you’re in love when you can’t fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dream,” which describes the excitable sentiment many girls experience.

However, even though love refers to passionate affection for another person, the question still remains: do teenage girls know what true love is? Many young ladies misuse the phrase “I love you” as they profess it to almost anyone they meet. This mistake might create misconceptions such as the idea that it is acceptable for teens to rush into something they are clearly not ready for.

In the end, love is a debatable sentiment between girls. We all have our own opinion on the subject, but it is an issue that cannot be overlooked or taken lightly.
