Girl’s Golf Utilize New Members

The golf team is continuing to constructively move toward their next match against La Canada High, scheduled for Oct. 11. The players have been practicing daily at Almansor Park to improve their technique. The new recruits have been getting one on one mentoring from the senior players.

“The girls have been working hard toward the new season and are ready to go against the other teams,” Varsity Captain Analy Hidalgo said.

The new season is often a time for hard work and the building of sportsmanship for a team. The Lady Moors believe that the key to a great game starts at the CLAIRE RODARTE Staff Writer core of a team’s relationship as one.

“It is important to get to know how each other play golf, but also to know each other personally,” Hidalgo said.

The new recruits plan to strengthen the overall force of the team. Working on team chemistry is usually a very important part of preseason. In order to advance in league standings the team must win against La Canada.

“I am very confident that we are going to do well this season because of the new talent I have seen in this team,” Coach Peter Dodosh said.

Their next game on Oct. 17 is crucial because it is the start of league prelims. The opposing team and location are TBD.
