In this generation everything is on the Internet. The most popular for grades K-12 is showing videos as lesson material but videos are also shown to educate people on how to do everyday things that some people might not know how to do. 58 percent is used as student assignment, 48 percent as lesson material, 32 percent in library media collections, and 31 percent in recording school events and streaming them. These also aren’t the only statistics taken about how much video use is used in the classroom. In a 2017 survey done May and June got the attention of more than one thousand people and 11% of them answered which worked with students in grades K-12. Most of the responders hold primary roles like: instructional design, IT, faculty and media. The use of video work in the classroom gives 93 percent students a satisfaction of learning and 83 participants believe this as well. According to a new survey taken, the most popular video use is a remote slideshow presentation . 54 percent of students said this was used in their schools and 45 percent stated using their cell phone apps to watch a “on the go” video. An almost similar number stated using chapters to split videos into segments. 29 percent of participants stated they use in-video quizzing and 63 percent stated they would like to use this method in classrooms. Closed captions have been used much more often and have raised percentages by 39 percent for the use of educational organizations. Technology has made learning a lot more efficient for not only the teachers but students as well.
